With an extensive background in real estate law, Shabnam was designated to serve as a Foreclosure Commissioner for U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in May of 2015. In addition, Shabnam serves on the board of the National Bar Association Region 1 as the Treasurer, Secretary of the Real Estate and Probate Section and the Vice Chair of the Programming Committee for the Bankruptcy Section of the National Bar Association.

Stemming from her work in the business arena, Shabnam has a desire to educate people about economic stability and wealth creation; particularly those who are in underserved communities.
